58mm overall vacuum bonded one piece composite side panels with 2.5mm white gelcoat finished GRP outer skin, 50mm RTM styrofoam core, 4mm ply and 1.5mm white GRP inner skin. Reinforcing is provided where necessary for attachment of the load restraint system and optional extra secondary floor.
110mm white GRP faced composite panel incorporating 100mm RTM styrofoam core.
One piece vacuum bonded floor panel designed for mounting direct to chassis longrunners using a captive bolt system and locking nuts. The floor surface is finished in phenolic coated non slip ply (colour and pattern tbc) and the underside skinned in white GRP. The panel core includes 100mm RTM styrofoam and all reinforcing members. The floor is rebated at door apertures to allow the threshold to sit flush with the floor surface.

REAR FRAME AND DOORS – LEFT HAND DOOR TO OPEN FIRST
A full width, full height brushed finish stainless steel rear frame of pressed and welded construction is fitted. The frame is of robust design providing protection for all hinges and door gear. The door threshold plate is to be flush with the top surface of the floor. All welds

are ground and polished. Double insulated doors are hung on 3 stainless steel hinges per door and secured by single heavy duty stainless steel power brace locking bars with lockable handle. Multi leaf neoprene gaskets provide efficient
sealing. The doors are finished in white impregnated GRP inside and out. 220mm aluminium protection to inner door bottoms. Stainless steel “trombone” type door retainers are fitted along with stainless steel wire rope retainers. NOTE THAT THE LEFT HAND DOOR IS TO OPEN FIRST.
Body panels are bonded together during assembly to form a rigid moncaque structure. Panel joints are capped with radiussed aluminium extrusion, bonded and fixed in place. These will be painted blue to match the body. All electrical cables are routed within the body structure to leave a clean appearance both inside and out.
A pressed and welded mild steel 152mm high sub frame is fitted to the chassis using DAF approved flexible mounting system. The body is secured to the sub frame using a captive bolt system with Nyloc nuts. The body dimension is based on 260mm DAF chassis side rail option.
900mm aperture width insulated side access door fitted in nearside, approximately 500mm from rear. Door is hung on stainless steel piano hinge with recessed power brace and lockable handle. Recessed stirrup steps in side skirt door to be fitted with weatherproof seals. The door aperture height is still to be confirmed. The door threshold plate is to be flush with the top surface of the floor.
Skirts are fitted full length under the body to both sides. One of these has a locker behind it to house the power pack and battery.
Wooden lashing rails to front and both sides (including on side door) on approx 300mm centres with bottom of lowest rail 150mm from floor. Rails to be hardwood 75mm x 20mm carpet covered with carpet wrapped over top and bottom and stapled to rear of rail. Rails to be spaced off side walls on vertical aluminium top hat sections.
1806 galvanised load restraint track fitted on top hat spacers between each lashing rail. No load restraint tracks to front bulkhead.

Note: Positions first hole from front bulkhead the same on each layer to suit secondary floor system. 8 heavy duty D lashings rings per side set flush in floor 150mm from side walls, evenly spaced along body.
Front, rear and side markers to current c and u regulations, Fluorescent interior lights to provide good illumination with switch in cab – one light to be fitted close to rear of body. Battery protection timers with secondary push button switch in body. Auxiliary batteries housed in underfloor locker charged from vehicle alternator via split charge system. There power supply for a 230v AC inverter to provide power for 3 x 13 A sockets designed for charging up to 3 drill batteries simultaneously. During standby use the auxiliary batteries are charged via intelligent battery charger from a land line.
Dhollandia (DHLMA) 1000kg cantilver tail lift with aluminium platform 1800mm long. Fixed leading edge and flip up trolley stops. No safety gates. Internal and external controls (no wander lead).

REFRIGERATION AND HEATING.
Twin heat cool system to provide +18°c body temperature. Eberspacher air conditioning system with engine driven compressor and separate mains AC compressor. An evaporator mounted inside the body feeds cool air via fabric ducts mounted under the ceiling. An Eberspacher D5 diesel heater unit running from vehicle fuel provides heating via thermostatic control unit. The air conditioning condenser and diesel heater are housed

below floor level in locker area. Note: this system will use the DAF air conditioning compressor mount kit which should be specified with the chassis. This will mean that the
DAF cab air conditioning option cannot be used. Alternative electric cab air conditioning is provided with a unit mounted on the cab roof.
A Maple automatic setting, self powered, auto rechargeable alarm system is fitted. This is controlled by two high security key switches. The system is linked to the vehicle cab doors as well as the leading rear body door. All components are mounted in a steel enclosure inside the body area. An additional key switch is provided to the body side door and a Dual Tech sensor is fitted in the load area. This system is covered by Maple on a 24 hour nationwide basis.
The vehicle cab will be fitted with six pin deadlocks. These will be fitted to driver and passenger doors and two keys will be provided.
